How Do You Minecraft?

let ‘s talk Minecraft!

From the smallest and simplest builds to the most intricately detailed builds – and sometimes giant! – what kind of Minecrafter are you? Believe it or not, Pinterest is a surprising resource that has a lot to offer, when it comes to a variety of builds for a variety of Minecrafters!

I love making something out of nothing on Minecraft. Finding the perfect biome and then just the right spot within it. Somewhere amongst the trees, animals, natural bodies of water and landscapes and then I just build from what’s around me. But the opportunity to do so much more is so abundantly clear. No matter how you Minecraft, there’s no right or wrong way to swing that pickaxe!

All these examples and builds were found through Pinterest, which then lead you to other great sites and more resources! Most of the related pins on Pinterest, you don’t even have to look very hard for! The more great builds you pin, the more that come through your feed. Win win! Go through this list with me – which ones do you love?

Let’s get building!

#1. A smaller, more humble abode lands itself in the first spot. This is a quaint little house that is built, and meant to be built, in Survival Mode. It includes a spot to grow crops and even includes some utilizable inside decor! Craftily built with window boxes and a master bedroom loft, it’s a fun quick build that comes with it’s own YouTube tutorial from @A1MOSTADDICTED MINECRAFT. Short and sweet, love it!

#2. But maybe you’re looking at building something with a little more detail? Try this slightly larger build from @BrauhausDerHoffnung with a solarium-style wall in the upstairs, complete with ideas for interior decor, dormers off the front, and a small patio right outside the front door. Such a fantastic, yet still compact, build.

#3. Everyone has their own unique style IRL, so why not in Minecraft? Maybe you’d like a more modern style home? Pinterest has got you covered, bae. 😉 Check this modern 2-story out! With sugar cane landscaping, wrap around bookshelves, and paintings included, you can’t miss this sleek and modern build by @WiederDude. Who knew there was so much variation to be had?

#4. Next up is a build with some outdoor pizzaz! I love that this one has so much to see from the outside, it just looks so unique yet comfortably traditional at the same time! Again, this is another easy-build if you can sit and take your steps alongside YouTube, again, with @WiederDude. Don’t miss this eye-catching, almost treehouse design!

#5. All right. Let’s face it. We ARE Gamer Girls, aren’t we? Sometimes we’d like a little pink! Nothing wrong with that. Why not go all out? @ItsWaterMelly has just the thing with this crazy Paris Disney design! Just look at this castle, complete with stone-carved “steps” along the side for the final touch. Don’t we all have a little Princess in us somewhere? Although I’m not sure I could make it through such a majestic build! Gorgeous!

#6. As much as one house is all you might need… we’re all about community as humans, right? Why shouldn’t we have communities in our online homes too? This build by @kebapmanager is the perfect example! A group of well built homes – and on the water! Makes me want a vacation – beach resort life, anyone?

#7. As dreamy as a tropical home-on-the-water sounds, I love this build that looks straight out of suburbia! Extremely well done with a covered porch and hedge landscaping, this literally looks like it just needs a white picket fence to qualify as the Minecraft version of the American Dream! (Creator unknown.)

#8. Another beauty on a bit of a lift! This cute contrast-colored abode is delightful, full of greenery, and even has a little stone path design that makes it so fun and cozy! Can’t you just see this little airy cottage being a breath of fresh air on your shared server? Check out this design and build your own! (Creator unknown.)

#9. Okay… back to suburbia. GUYS. This one even has a detached garage! Ha! I LOVE it! Just something about a realistic style home cubed out to grace our screens via Minecraft. Just. Love. It. @ND63319’s design is amazing – make your own!

#10. And I guess as long as we’re jumping back and forth topic wise – let’s head back to pretty in pink. Doesn’t this amazing little picturesque cottage feel like Sleeping Beauty? It’s absolutely gorgeous and uses the John Smith texture pack, plus a few customs. @halfdemonanbu whipped up this gorgeous number by looking at a painting for inspiration. Talk about divine! When can I move in?

Still want more?

As an added bonus – it doesn’t just stop there! Check out this amazing Medieval Minecraft Map from @redrockets54 on PlanetMinecraft. It’s fun to see such a complete town put together, and there are so many different varieties of them! Countless users have built amazing creations and have posted them online to share! It’s incredible the amount of work players have put into these creations. The Medieval builds are my favorite!

Where do you go to find ideas for Minecraft builds? Are you completely original? Or do you use others’ ideas and build off of them? Do you stick to basic geometric huts or do you prefer to make things a little more lifelike? Let us know in the comments below!
